About Dry Dock Guest House

Celebrating our son’s 1 year birthday!

Ashleigh & Sean Stevenson

2021 was a fantastic year as we introduced our new son into the world. While you are staying with us here at Dry Dock Guest House, note we will have our 2 year old son living with us in our basement.

Sean Stevenson grew up in Tobermory. He is an experienced diver and knows about all the exciting adventures of this town.

Ashleigh Stevenson was born & raised in Toronto & met Sean in 2007 while working at the local pub. For the past 10 years we have been looking to find ways to make a living up here in this beautiful town.

In 2017 our dreams came true and  found this amazing home and took on a new adventure!

Maverick

Meet "Mavi" - He is a sweet boy who has travelled with Sean all the way from Thunder Bay, Ont. and loves living in Tobermory! He is an indoor cat as there are too many wildlife out there that would love to play with him and will be left in the basement with us!

Judas

Meet "Judy" - he is quite the talker and he is more of a shy cat who will also be in the basement with Sean and I. We rescued him in 2011 from the Toronto Humane Society and has been an awesome addition to this family!

Testimonials

Ashleigh & Sean's place was a quick 5 minutes from the town and supermarket. It was convenient to get to the National Parks as well. The place was sparkling clean, well stocked and very comfortable. We had a fantastic trip to Tobermory and would love to visit again

We had a great time at The Dry Dock! Ashleigh’s and Sean’s place is cozy and has all the amenities needed to make your stay a comfortable one. The location is excellent and you can walk to the dock. Ashleigh and Sean are both great hosts who were very flexible and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay!

The best AIR BNB I’ve ever stayed at. The location is great, the hosts are wonderful and always quick with responses, very clean. Best trip of the summer.

Beautiful cottage, great location. Sean and Ashleigh were friendly and helpful hosts, easily reachable. Would stay in this place again if ever visiting the Bruce Peninsula!

Ashleigh and Sean place (Dry Dock B&B) is amazing place to stay. Room was clean and stylish with a little balcony. Their place is literally a block away from all local amenities including boat cruises and restaurants. Ashleigh introduced us all areas of importance and provided us with all areas that are worthy to see. We spent a lot of time outside so we barely saw our hosts. Although offered and provided we didn't use breakfast until the day of check out. Breakfast that is included in price is just amazing with a lot of healthy and home made options. We thank you for your accommodations and we highly recommended this nice spot

Cecilia and I had an amazing stay with Ashleigh & Sean. They made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to help us with our tire and forgotten shoes. They are a wealth of knowledge of places to eat and things to do in the area. Their place is great, within short walking distance of restaurants and shops. Loved meeting Chippie the chipmunk and seeing heaps of Blue Jays. The breakfast spread was one of my favourite parts of our visit! Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Stayed at Ashleigh & Sean's house for 2 nights. Everything was awesome! The house is clean and very cozy, breakfast was super tasty too. I only wish I could spend more time with the cats, they are so cute :)

The Dry Dock B&B is a great place to stay in Tobermory. It is located just behind the main town center and is maybe a 5 minute walk to the action. Ashleigh & Sean are very nice hosts who made sure that we had everything we needed and were quick to offer recommendations for activities or restaurants. It's a 3 room B&B so it was quiet and peaceful yet there is still a chance to connect with the other guests over a nice breakfast. Their two cats are also very friendly. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about a nice getaway to Tobermory!

Thank you so much for your kind hospitality these past few days, our stay was amazing! Their place was lovely and a close walk to town. The breakfast was great and the cats were super cute (as well as the neighborhood chipmunk). They were very helpful in recommending daily activities (places to eat, sightseeing, hikes, etc.) Would definitely stay again and recommend to a friend.

You cannot beat this location! Ashleigh and Sean’s place is perfectly situated for you to enjoy the quaint little town of Tobermory at your leisure, just a short 2min walk from the main center and 5min from the dock for the tour boats. Ashleigh was full of local tips and more than happy to give us recommendations for where to eat, drink and various walking trails. The breakfast was lovely, with something to suit anyone’s preferences. Comfy bed and spacious room as well! Will absolutely be back here when we visit Tobermory next.

My husband and I stayed at Dry Dock B&B for our mini-moon (mini honeymoon) and we can honestly say that we have never felt so welcome!! Ashleigh and Sean are some of the kindest, most genuine and warm people we’ve ever met. They were helpful and informative in helping us plan our days in Tobermory. Breakfast was DELICIOUS (the egg muffins and granola for parfait is to DIE FOR!), and their cats Maverick and Judas were the icing on the cake in making us feel right at home. We are certain you will not experience a better stay in Tobermory at any other lodging within the town as you will at Dry Dock. We highly recommend staying here; we will most definitely be returning and staying here in the near future!!

Fantastic weekend! Sean and Ashleigh are excellent hosts, great people, and provided great advice on activities in both Tobermory and Bruce Peninsula National Park. Breakfast was great, and we loved the flexibility and relaxed atmosphere our hosts provided. 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing: our first time to Tobermory/Canada this gem of a B&B could not have been any friendlier or warmer. Ashleigh and Sean were superb hosts and we felt like we made friends not just met owners of a B&B. The surrounds were spectacular; we ended up staying an additional night/day and we were so glad as Ashleigh and Sean took us on a adventure through various walks. Beautiful accommodation, calming and relaxed and excellent breakfast. Thank you so much we hope to return to the same area in a couple of years ensuring we book with you for our stay :)
